How to Delete Your PrimDesk Account

Important: Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Please ensure you have exported any data you wish to keep before proceeding.

Before You Delete Your Account

Data Export Requirement

  • We strongly recommend exporting your data before account deletion
  • Once your account is deleted, data recovery may not be possible
  • Contact [email protected] with subject line "Data Rights Request" to request a complete data export

What Data Will Be Deleted When you delete your account, the following information will be permanently removed:

  • Personal and practice information
  • Patient health information (PHI)
  • Employee and staff data
  • Service details and pricing information
  • Communication preferences and settings
  • Usage history and analytics data

Account Deletion Process

Step 1: Login Required

  • You must be logged into your PrimDesk account to initiate deletion
  • Account deletion can only be requested by authenticated users
  • Only account administrators can delete practice accounts

Step 2: Request Deletion

  1. Log into your PrimDesk account
  2. Navigate to Account Settings → Account Management
  3. Click "Delete Account"
  4. Confirm your identity with email verification
  5. Review the data deletion notice
  6. Confirm deletion by typing your account email address

Step 3: Confirmation

  • You will receive an email confirmation of your deletion request
  • Account access will be immediately suspended
  • Data deletion process will begin according to our retention policy

Data Deletion Timeline

Immediate Actions (Upon deletion request)

  • Account access is immediately suspended
  • Login credentials are deactivated
  • Service access is terminated

90-Day Retention Period

  • Your data will be retained for 90 days following account deletion
  • This allows for data recovery if deletion was accidental
  • During this period, data export requests can still be processed
  • Contact [email protected] if you need to recover your account

Permanent Deletion (After 90 days)

  • All personal and practice data is permanently deleted
  • Patient health information (PHI) is securely destroyed
  • Account recovery becomes impossible
  • Only anonymized analytics data may be retained for service improvement

What Data May Be Retained

Even after account deletion, certain information may be retained as legally required:

Financial Records

  • Payment records and billing information retained for 7 years for tax compliance
  • Transaction logs maintained for audit and regulatory purposes
  • Subscription history retained for customer service and dispute resolution

Legal Compliance

  • Data required by law or regulation may be retained beyond the 90-day period
  • Court orders or government investigations may require extended retention
  • Healthcare compliance requirements may necessitate longer retention periods

Anonymized Data

  • Anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely for service improvement
  • All personal identifiers are removed from this data
  • This data cannot be used to identify you or your practice

Important Considerations

No Partial Deletion

  • Individual data elements cannot be selectively deleted
  • Account deletion is the only method for data removal
  • All associated data is deleted together as a complete dataset

Third-Party Integrations

  • Data shared with integrated services (httpSMS, email services) may be subject to their retention policies
  • Contact third-party providers directly for information about their data deletion practices
  • Review integration privacy policies for specific details

Backup Recovery

  • Data may exist in system backups for up to 90 days
  • Backup data is securely destroyed according to our retention schedule
  • Recovery from backups is not possible after the retention period
